I was originally going to have a huge dramatic showdown between Chris and Glenn, but when I was writing up ideas for Glenn, he seemed like a standup guy, and I wanted to make him a regular. I like the idea of there actually being a healthy gay relationship in my comic – it might actually help me to stop being so dang jaded

Sad times… And the part that really hurts is that as of right now Glenn seems really sweet, so I’m betting it’ll be hard to dislike him. And I love the fact that only person who knows Chris’ feelings for Jeff is the new girl.

It was supposed to be the horror of Jeff’s comment, In the original script it was just a subtle phone in the background, but I thought it’d be funny to pay homage to the phone in the Pokemon cartoon (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=35cGU379zFo) it only dawned on me after the page went up that it made things ambiguous.
